American brewery based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The beer it produced, Schlitz, was often considered the archetype of working-class beers. It has one of the best-known slogans in the American brewing industry: "The beer that made Milwaukee famous".

In Zilwaukee, MI there was a draw bridge carrying I-75 traffic. I-75 is a major north-south route in Michigan and activating the draw bridge on a summer holiday weekend caused traffic jams that were legendary. The Zilwaukee Bridge was "the pier that made Zilwaukee famous".
