Actually I'm using my DVR to record and preserve media bias. The only time I ever turn into the national news is to catch their presentation of a story I already know about (more to see the angle of reporting that to learn any new details).
I rolled bytes when Zarqawi was killed in action and when Dan Rather was off CBS yesterday. In the past I rolled tape on election night (in 2000 and again in 2004).
Blocking these channels is good for your blood pressure but does nothing to challenge their bias. Either getting the news departments to alter their presentation or showing the bias to others will.
George Orwell was anti-communist but he was against the suppression of a publication like The Daily Worker because it was easier to challenge their assertions and keep tabs on the enemy.
