I don't agree. Hold a town meeting and explain things to your neighbors. You'll be suprised at how many people are as worried as you are and want to do something. What is lacking is leadership.

What do you believe we can "do" at the town meeting level? The average American has so little power these days compared to the mass media and the money-movers who work behind the scenes in politics that it would take decades for us to even begin to wield any power. And more and more modern laws actually even prevent power in the hands of the individual citizen.

The halls of power are more and more corrupt and more and more out of the reach of the average citizen.
