Pay Per View - me too.
I just think Nifong is suffering from 27 years of inside deals and no accounting for his actions. It's no secret that office lived off plea deals. The investigators in the case also have a reputation for forcing plea deals.
So, things generally don't get to trial. Don't face the light of day.
It's my opinion, Nifong thought he could apply enough pressure to these kids through the usual tactics and he could claim victory without ever going to court. I think all those extremely unusual public statements were an attempt to get the players to agree to a plea deal.
Nifong was a nobody for so many years. IIRC, when he came back for sick leave, he was demoted (for all practical purposes) to traffic court.
When Hardin became judge, Nifong was appointed DA. It seems a strange path to take.
I wonder if Nifong feels he has old scores to settle for the years he was in traffic court and why in the hell did he get the appointment?
