Sometimes us city folks forget how really dangerous the natural world is. Especially since we as a culture tend to glorify it.

And to make it worse, when you're focusing on your photography, sometimes, your brain isn't exactly paying attention to your surroundings.

Ne Zot! She went over a chest-high fence to take a picture? What was she thinking?

It's still awful for her family, though. We've all done stupid things and survived them, or we wouldn't be posting now. It's a reminder that (as a theological concept) the world is against us. Gravity bites, and so do bears; physics kills.
