PETA PESTS AMBUSH BEYONCÉ
June 17, 2006 -- THE nerdy couple who paid thousands of dollars to have dinner with Beyoncé Knowles at Nobu 57 on Thursday turned out to be bullies from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals who ambushed the pop diva about wearing fur.
Knowles showed up at the restaurant with her mother, Tina, and friend Heather Schindler, who heads her House of Dereon clothing line, to dine with two people she thought were fans.
The meal had been sold off at a Save the Music benefit last year as part of the charity's silent auction, but Knowles had no idea she was being ambushed.
After exchanging pleasantries and ordering their meals, the two animal-rights zealots suddenly pulled out a video camera and showed Beyoncé a tape of minks being killed. The PETA agents also used a hidden camera to secretly videotape Knowles and her reaction to their nasty questions. They were finally asked to leave 20 minutes later.
Our infuriated spy said, "They paid thousands of dollars to have that dinner, and Beyoncé honored her commitment - this set-up was a long time coming."
When she got to the table with Schindler, Beyoncé "immediately hugged the people and said, 'Thank you so much for paying so much money to have a meal with me. Save the Music is dear to my heart and does so much good. I can't tell you how much it means to me.' She was very gracious."
Minutes later, after everyone ordered their meal, Beyoncé was ambushed.
"This is how she is repaid?" cried our source. "She raises millions for Save the Music and music education in schools - and now she can never do something like that again. It is ridiculous. Those PETA people are nothing more than holier-than-thou bullies. What about the children - our children, you know, human beings? They don't care about them! They should be ashamed of themselves ambushing Beyoncé like that. She does so much good and all they can think about is fur trim."
Thankfully, Beyoncé was not left alone with the rude activists, but had Schindler by her side. At one point, one of the PETA pests asked Beyoncé, "How do you kill your animals?" - to which Schindler coolly responded, "With a needle."

LOL!
If she weren't being videotaped, she should have said "We crush their heads ever so slowly in a vise. It takes about 48 hours."
