Oh, I'm sure it won't be in the Sunday newspapers. But what the US has accomplished in this game is nothing but amazing. Your down, 10-9 with 20 minutes or more remaining and can still stop the mighty Italians. Every sports reporter in the world would say, no way.
To be alive after two games in this bracket is an accomplishment.
I say one more time, "against Italy, you got to be kidding". 1-1. Proud, Proud, Proud of the USA Team.
I am so proud of the US Soccer Team tonight, I just might have another brew.
Enjoy that beer. You are the foundation of the roots that produced our team.
And it is a huge accomplishment where the US game has gone at the international level since 1990.
We may not have produced the numbers of great players yet, but we've produced a core of great players who have attained great heights.

I don't share your opinion that the US red cards were indefensible from the referee's point of view (although I agree they were harsh), but I just want to say its very heartening to see such enthusiasm for the game and the team from Americans such as yourselves. Maybe there is hope for the sport in the US! Tonight's game should certainly help kindle interest.
Can you imagine if that Beasely goal had not been offside? Down 10 guys to 9, no team with 9 men has ever scored in the WC ...
