I am thinking we want a Ghana win, and a US win. All 3 teams will be on 3 points then. With the future in our hands. A ghana draw, and a US win would accomplish the same. We will technically be alive with a draw in our game, but we really need 2 wins because of goal differential. I want Czechs to lose points, because it gives them incentive to beat Italy on the 22nd.

The American team was pulled out of their luxury hotel and have been training at a US military base.

While on the other hand the Italian players have admitted they have no idea who the Americans are.

The Italians might not know anything about our guys but they are going to get an introduction they will never forget!

My confidence is high!

Having lived in Europe for years, Im having a lot of fun educating my wife on some of the traditions. The exchange of Jerseys after a match is an example of the sportsmanship found at the World Cup. Im torn today, though. I lived in Italy for three years in the 70's and I knew more about Italian soccer than I did about American football. No sport is better than the other, and I am no less American for liking soccer as much as I do. Having said that, Forza Italia! The US kicks ass in everything else in the world, so my conscience is clear in pulling hard for Italia today!

Ghana's looking good. Quite a turnaround from their match versus Italy.

Oh My Goodness who would of thought Ghana would beat the Czechs???

Wait a minute I DID!

"And the Czechs lose to Ghana."

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1647758/posts?page=259#259

Now the 2 guys that scored the 2 goals for Ghana are out of the next game due to yellow cards! That means they won't be playing against the US!! And the third Czech striker is out for the game against Italy due to yellow card (first two out on injury)!

Big Things are Happening!
Really Big Things Are Happening!!!

ABC just flashed the starting lineup. Good news: no DaWorthless Beasley. Bad news: no Eddie Johnson.

Does the US team know where the Italian goalmouth is??

They seem quite happy to pass the ball around in their own half!

Geeeesh!

Holy Cow how vicious was that? I never saw that much blood in a soccer match in my life. That's like watching Wild Animal Kingdom!

The Italians had to take Totti out because he is a hothead and would have gotten kicked out in the second half, so they switched him.

We should haVe never got a red card he came in from the side that should have been a yellow card, yea the soles of the feet were up but that was after the collision. That was overly harsh just because Italy play ShItaly don't mean they have to get over sensitive at our expense to equalize it out!

1-1 we are on course!

WHOEVER INVENTED THUNDER STICKS IS A PURE GENIUS!!

GO USA!!!

Budweiser Man of the Match: Kasey KELLER (USA)
17 June 2006
by FIFAworldcup.com

TSG member Alvin Corneal believes that Kasey Keller’s performance against Italy in Kaiserslautern not only kept the US in the game, but also in the tournament.
The 36-year-old produced a stunning display of goalkeeping to help earn his side a point against the Group E seeds, particularly after his side were reduced to nine men.
