The northbound Santa Ana (I-5) Freeway will shut down at the "Orange Crush" for two nights, beginning tonight.
The closure, between Main Street and La Veta Avenue, will take place tonight and Saturday from midnight until 5 a.m.
Detour signs will direct motorists.
The closures are necessary for the widening and improvement of the 22.
During the closures, workers will set up two 100-foot-long girders that weigh 250,000 pounds each. The girders will support the new roadway.
