Reports say there are more than 30,000 Mexicans in Hanover.
That's impressive given the distance and financial situation in Mexico.

(Fine employers $100,000 for every illegal employee they hire-> millions of illegals will self-deport)

Reports say there are more than 30,000 Mexicans in Hanover. Just watching the games, the Germans refuse to watch. :)

It depends on how you define "Mexican".
Most of those people wearing green shirts are probably from LA, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, etc.

I've been to Mexico City and there are a lot of very rich Mexicans. Lots of upper-middle-class, also. Problem is the vast numbers of dirt poor outside the city center and the poor orphans who live in the streets.

Some would argue that those that made the trip to the World Cup are the elites from D.F. (Districto Federal - Mexico City). Those are the types that get all the wealth, probably politicians and they leave the country in the financial situation you mention. They have full time bodyguards to thwart kidnappings. They eat three squares a day unlike most.
Some would argue that Northern Mexico is practically abandoned... they would say it's a disgrace.
