I live in a wooded area with lots of deer, and I have several cats. A few of the deer got into the "lick cat" bath routine. Got so one cat loved it so much he'd be on the lookout for the deer herd. Once at the back of the property I was walking with the cats (they go with me for walks) and he spied a group of deer. He meowed as though he was saying "Mama"! and ran towards them for his lick-down.
The deer usually get a strange open mouthed expression after licking or smelling a cat - and a sort of "Feh" sound. But some of them really liked licking the cats, as though the deer considered the cats their pets.
Unfortunately, when they have their fawns, the deer are liable to stomp on cats. I've seen it done two or three times, I've lost a couple of cats that way.
I used to have a picture of Tiger getting his lickdown. I'll see if I can possible post it, I'm a techno dunce.

If you do get a chance to post the picture, I would love to see it!
