That each of us , depending on our ancestry ,heritage and roots , have this same deep felt love and honor for the flags of our respective ancestors . This is a very good thing.
They should not be forgotten and they should be held in the deepest respect .

Let me clarify: i have never had aproblem with the Confederate flag. My probalem has been with those who make Federal troops and their commanders out to be some sort of monsters, or try to portray the antebellum South as some wonderland where all the races were singing Kum-bai-yah together.

Those who are proud of the bravery exhibited by so many CSA soldiers should fly that flag proudly, and I say that as a man who wanted to name his son after Joshua Chamberlain.
