What war crimes did Sherman commit? Destruction of private property, Theft of private property, Murder of Civilians, violence against women including rape, Arson.

All of these were recognized war crimes in the days prior to world war one and soldiers under Sherman committed each one of these offenses repeatedly, with the full knowledge of Sherman. What do you think he meant by "Make Georgia howl"? All of this undertaken when the war was coming to an end anyway. There was and is no excuse for it.
