No, I am saying that you are trying to compare apples and oranges...and you can't even keep exports and imports straight. In other words, the arguments you present don't show that you really understand what you are cutting and pasting. Oh then by all means please enlighten me and point out exactly where I'm going wrong. Like I already said, you are trying to compare apples and oranges. If you are truly interested in learning about the Civil War Era from the tariff and trade perspective, I can suggest some good works.
