I'd like to think that hippies were the archetypal boomers, a generation that discovered everything but learned nothing .
Boy, isn't THAT the truth. We did actually believe we'd discovered truths that no one before us had ever known and it made us impossible to communicate with.."the generation gap".
Our parents- after living through the depression and World War II- were simply too damn good to us. We were blessed in ways we were incapable of recognizing or appreciating.
