Apparently, not everyone thniks I should....
It seems that some are upset with me for wanting to sell it, for a little less than the going value. I guess the thought is, "since you got it for nothing, you should pass it along for nothng"!!
And from some checking around, it looks to be worth more than $800. So, I decided that I would be nice and try for $750. But I guess some thnk that is being "greedy".
If I was loaded, I would not care. but right now, I can use the money. House taxes are due, and I also would like a laptop, as I said before.
But I KNOW that nearly ANYONE else would do the same. Includig many of those complaining.
My friend Greg recently made over $2300, from some old tubes, and other items. His expenses were probably less than $300. Was that wrong??
In both cases, had we (or someone else) not gotten the stuff, it would all probably be in a dump by now. Instead, some people got a good deal, and Greg made some much-needed money last month at the 'fest.

(I may be a prude, but at least I am CONSISTENT about my beliefs!!)

I think YOU are correct. This is capitalism NOT socialism.
And unless you stole the items (which you did not)you are entitled to what the market will bear.
Good luck!

Looks like you had a good haul. I'm the furthest away from a rabid greenie as you can get but it is nice to save working electronic items from the dump or the landfill. We are such a wasteful society and if this stuff works, "why not?" I watch a 1982 Zenith and I sometimes play Playstation on a 1966 Sony B&W 9" TV set (it looks a bit like the one on the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper" album). I do have a 1998 19" Zenith but tht is on standby because there are times "the old girl" (1982 Zenith) acts up until I get that part, but usually it behaves. It's a shame to see working electronics and other such items being tossed out. I love Polara's (on Audio Karma) story (IIRC) of him finding a perfectly working 1989 RCA Colortrak left out for garbage.
Good haul, man, I know the feeling of the need for money since my two sick cats (Greystone (RIP) and Boo (doing great)) set me back a few bucks.
