At 6:55 EDT two fighters flew over at probaly 10,000 feet altitude, suburban Rockville MD, flying N-NW at high speed - sounded like on afterburner.
Haven't seen that since shortly after 9/11.

We had a couple of warthogs rattle our windows the other day.

One just flew back 7:08 EDT, S-SW; much slower. The first two out were about 30 seconds apart. I haven't seen them at that speed since the patrols of fall 2001.

There ya go. Fox News Alert just reported that a Cesna strayed into Capital airspace and was escorted to a base in Maryland.

Glad it was at least worth mentioning - they were really moving.
Re MHAFB - I'm from Boise originally; was there in April and went out to see if one could still get into the missile silos near Orchard, near the freeway; they're all fenced off now.

The Boise National Guard used to fly RF-4Cs when I was out there fixing black (light gray) boxes for F-111As.
Spent lots of time bombing around the desert outside of base on my dirt bike, and inadvertently running over jackrabbits at night. I swear the wait by the side of the road for a car to come along and dash out at the last moment...
