Imagine: you are a foot soldier in a paramilitary group whose purpose is to remake America as a Christian theocracy, and establish its worldly vision of the dominion of Christ over all aspects of life. You are issued high-tech military weaponry, and instructed to engage the infidel on the streets of New York City. You are on a mission - both a religious mission and a military mission -- to convert or kill Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, gays, and anyone who advocates the separation of church and state - especially moderate, mainstream Christians.

This is one really messed up game, and I saw it promoted on the television news the other day. This is about as un-Christian as you can get, and I can't imagine many Christian parents actually allowing their kids to play this.

As a born again Christian, I am sickened by this game. Who is Mr. Warren? I have never heard of him before.

It was probably created by an atheist or anti-Christian lib to discredit and insult Christians.

Is this sponsored by the "Left Behind" copyright holders?
To: Theoden
The link is acting kind of strange now, but my internet here at work just slowed down anyway. The link does work, I found in when I was scanning the DUmpster. FYI

Rick Warren, of "Purpose Driven Life" fame.
I knew there was something about the whole movement that wasn't right.
You shall know them by their fruit.

Yet it was developed and is being marketed by Rick Warren Christians.
To: mnehrling
OK. Next question: is this an accurate summary of the content of the game?
If it is, LaHaye and Jenkins really messed up.
To: wideawake
Correction- Christianity Churchanity.

Incorrect. It was created by a company that includes Tim Carver on its board.
To: svcw
Thats why I added the "" around Evangelical. This is definitely a distortion of Evangelical beliefs, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's designers were Atheists/Libs trying to put a wedge between Catholics & Evangelicals, and other religious groups just to make Christians look bad.

Good point, after all, this description is from a Blog.. albeit, the 'official description' on the cache link above is pretty freaky too, just not as 'damning'...

I'll post the actual link below. If you have Apple's Quicktime installed and a high speed connection, you can view the trailer for the game (small and large versions). Some screenshots are posted there along with a description:

I did not do an actual search on this game yet, I'm about to go out to lunch, but it was on one of the MSM news shows the other day, I think it was either ABC or NBC. It was portrayed as very controversial there as well.
