Your first sentence is grammatically wrong (like half of my posts).
You wrote:
"Never before in the history of the United States has the House, Senate and the President been so out of touch with the wishes of the overwhelming majority of Americans."
It should read (corrected word in caps):
"Never before in the history of the United States HAVE the House, Senate and the President been so out of touch with the wishes of the overwhelming majority of Americans."
Don't know if grammar really matters in the grand scheme of things, but I just thought I'd mention it. (And I make plenty of writing errors myself.)
There may be some other slips in your post, but it's getting late. Too tired! I'll read later.
