Wasn't that in "Band of Brothers"? I think it was Spears (eventually
Captain?) that wiped out a group of surrendered Germans (off-camera)?
And I'm not familiar with any similar shooting of German prisoners
by US soldiers after Malmedy.

That whole incident with Spiers is merely a story - it's not certain that he actually did that.
What is certainly true about Spiers is that he was an expert at harvesting loot from Germany.
