I recently tried Ubuntu and like it.  It's not as good as Win 2000 (or XP) but it's a pretty good OS.

Unfortunately my kids hated it, so my attempts to put it on their PC's didn't pan out.  I still have it on one of my laptops and use it pretty regularly.

I just built a new SAMBA server using Fedora Core 5 on one of my old Dells.

I am glad I did it too.
