And there is this piece from one of the psalms I have been drawn to today:

Deliver me from my enemies,
O my God,
protect me from those who rise up against me,
deliver me from those who work evil,
and save me from bloodthirsty men.

For, lo, they lie in wait for my life;
fierce men band themselves against me.
For no transgression or sin of mine, O LORD,
for no fault of mine,
they run and make ready.
Rouse thyself, come to my help, and see!

Thou, LORD God of hosts, art God of Israel.
Awake to punish all the nations;
spare none of those who treacherously plot evil.

Psalm 59:1-5

Humanity does not survive by bread alone.
Life requires other things, and Faith and
Love are amongst them.
For many, perhaps for all, they are the
only really important things we have.
