Midday prayer ping!
Dear Lord,
Each day that goes by, you show us who is our strength, and who calls you master.
Lord, today I come in prayer for those who want to pull the country into the darkness, far away from your mercy.
Lord, open their eyes and hearts to the reality of what they are offering, how the fruits of their actions will lead the world into the pit.
Give them, and us, contrite hearts for our failures, so that we may seek you in truth and love.
Guide those of us who hear your voice, and stay the hands of those who would harm us.
Lord, in this dark age, help us to stand for you always, even as our enemies press in from what seems like every side.
In the name of Jesus, or Lord and Light, Amen.

Prayer vigil Ping!
Dear FRiends, let us thank the Lord for his blessings.
O Lord,
You who who love all, in spite of their imperfections and call all to walk in your ways, so that you might turn them into the holy people they could be and so you might bring them home to be with you at last, we come before you thanking you for your many mercies.
O Lord, we come to thank you for our leaders who do show wisdom and who do seem to be guided by your light. Thank you greatly for raising up people like that.
O Lord, we come to you to beg your mercy on those who refuse to walk in your ways. We ask you to open their hearts to the darkness they wrap themselves in, and that you offer them more than they could ever know clinging to the night.
O Lord, protect our nation and let us become a righteous people, ready to stand up in the ways you would have us go,
this day and always,
In the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Prayer vigil ping!
Lord,
We come to you with thanks for your many blessings, and prayers for our nation, our leaders, our military.
Guide us in your ways, and we ask you to keep our nation safe. Give wisdom to those who lead us, and lead those who refuse to heed your word because of willfulness into repentance.
We especially today pray for the missing servicemen. Give them the help they need, and be with their loved ones in a special way.
In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Unto You, O Lord, we return with praise and thanksgiving for Your steadfast goodness and mercy to us, individually and as a nation ... none of which is merited, Merciful Father, yet such is Your love.
We continue to look to You, O Lord, for Your blessings upon those in authority over us, that they would be mindful that each must given an account to You. May it be, O God, that they fear Your rebuke and are constrained to act in accordance with Your wisdom and guidance, providing the citizenry with justice in accordance with law and not whim.
Cause them to fashion thoughts and words and deeds that speak of a standard of justice that acknowledges the law abiding and rewards not the law breaker, for You would have us live within the bounds of moral truth and justice. Open the hearts and the eyes and the ears of the people, that they might be guided by the Holy Spirit into the Truth ... cause them, O God, to accept nothing less than the Truth.
Encamp around our military, that they would be shielded from harm in their task of bringing liberty and freedom to a hungry people. Still the voices of our own whose words give aid and comfort to the enemy, yet we know that in Your time, each of us will stand before You to give an account of our every word and deed ... may this thought be so overwhelmingly frightening that many will flee to the protection of Your Shed Blood.
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, may it be thus, O Lord, may it be thus, Amen ...

Unto You, O Lord, we return with praise and thanksgiving that Your love is from everlasting to everlasting.
Look with mercy upon our beloved country this night, Merciful Father. Let us not be ensnared by beguiling voices that would lead us astray, but may we be in effectual, fervent prayer for those in authority over us. Cause them to do what is right and just in Your sight, that our countrymen would be well served.
Hear our prayer, O Lord ...
Hear our prayer, O Lord ...
Incline thine ear to us
And grant us thy peace. Amen ...

Dear Lord,
another day has passed, for which we thank you.
thank you for protecting this land you have put us in.
Help us to live our lives here the way you would have us live them.
Guide us, private citizens, business owners, political leaders, religious leaders, mother and fathers and children, in the way you would have us go.
And may we who call you Lord share your light with whoever we come in contact with,
this day and always,
in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Morning Prayer Vigil Ping!
O Lord,
Here we have the gift of a morning.
Lord, we know that we are grass, and our life is fleeting, for this is the nature of the world we live in. But in that time, we ask of you to remember us in our needs and frailties and insecurities and fears and dreams and longings.
Help us to choose the right, the way you would have us go, the path you know will lead us to becoming the people you desire us to be.
Wherever we look, the darkness seems to grow. People attack our families, our beliefs, the good you proclaimed, and twist your teachings into things that justify the lifestyle they want to live.
Yet remind us, Lord, that we are the tools in your hand, and that through you, lives are touched, hope is reborn, and the light shines clearly.
Guide us, from the smallest to the highest, in the way we should go.
Spread your wings over us, and keep us safe.
Be with those who mourn, and save us from those who would destroy us.
In the name of Jesus, Amen.

I know that this prayer request is off topic, but one of our freepers (pepperdog) is going to have catarac surgery tomorrow morning.
Ordinarily, this is a simple procedure, but she only has one eye, and that is the one with the catarac.
This is a very special SIL and I would appreciate your prayers.
Thanks, Maria
