No, I was simply stating that in the years I lived in Japan and spoke English amongst other foreigners in public, no one ever asked/told me to speak Japanese. That's all.

Perhaps you were there legally. I am much more comfortable with people in my country that actually have been invited in and are respecting our laws. I do believe that most people who insist on speaking Spanish at every turn are the invaders. Most that are here legally at least try to speak English.
