In that time we have raised $500,000 to $600,000. Breyer is very philanthropic to kids and horses," said Stephanie Macejko of Breyer. "We’re hoping that our contribution could help treat horses with these types of injuries."

You're all very welcome. It just is such a day-brightener to read these little "bits" about Barbaro and bring them here to share. Such upbeat reports - you can "hear" them all smiling.

Love the little peppermint game. Reminds me of my late puppy with a treat put on her nose, holding still, then *snap* grabbing that thing in mid-air.

I can just picture Barbaro *snap* grabbing that mint that his big nose has just about pushed off the little windowsill. How dear!

Other news ... there had been talk that Barbaro might win the Eclipse Award for this year as champion 3-year-old, by default. But now, there is other talk that his former stablemate, Showing Up, also owned by Roy and Gretchen Jackson, might give Bobby a run for his money ... Showing Up just won Virginia's richest purse - $1 million - in the Colonial Turf Cup, his first time on grass. He ran 6th in the KD behind our fellow!
