Great pictures.

My father was stationed in Guam, and flew B-29s out of there.

His good friend flew B-29s out of Tinian.

Very good--thank you for sharing your find with us. The men did a hell of a job, thank God.

Excellent pictures. What a masculine, manly generation of men. So many didn't make it home (far, far, far, greater amount than the relatively few we've lost in the last three or so years) and yet they all fought on with bravery and distinction. I wish we fought wars like that today! Instead, we now prosecute our soldiers for doing their jobs and we take way too many steps, at our peril, to not have collateral damage. How much collateral damage was there in Hiroshima and Nagasaki?

Great photos, KBZ.

My favorites are the homemade windmill and the nose-art shots.

The photo of the burial at sea is so appropriate on this Memorial Day.

Thank you.

Thanks for the pix. Grateful to see them. My father was with the 498th BG on Saipan. I have some original bomb damage assessment pix of the bombing of Japan.

You're welcome.

My father had similar pictures while stationed at Guam.

We treasure them greatly.
