"A plaintiff can't recover a judgment award from a defendant's attorney. A plaintiff would have to have a separate cause of action against the attorney and sue him/her separately."

Given the loose reigns on attorneys in North Carolina, it would be near impossible, if not totally so, to get anywhere with such a lawsuit.
