The jockey did a masterful job pulling up on Barbaro. And then Barbaro literally saved his own life by stopping on three legs. Amazing. What a team!

Since that time the surgeons, et al., at Bolton Center have given him the best shot possible. Read somewhere that Barbaro appears to have a good understanding of what's going on. Which has made him a really good patient.

The dear boy just might make it. I hope so for many reasons. Not the least of which is that other horses might easily end up benefitting from what they've learned treating Barbaro. I certainly hope so.
