Howdy N-Man!

I also remember watching the Stooges, Bowery Boys, Ma & Pa Kettle, and Little Rascals with my pops on various Saturdays too. I have two older brothers and one older sister who watched sometimes, but it was mostly me and pops.

Cool. I used to watch a lot of those too. As I'm typing this, I'm watching (and killing a few brain cells) "It's Alive Now" on a local Pittsburgh UHF station where they show these low, low, low budget horror movies. It's sort of like our old "Chilly Billy Chiller Theater" updated to the 21st Century. It's a real hoot, Mom found it one night and we were laughing our butts off at the skits the crew does. The commercials are funny and low budgeted, you have Straub beer, a tattoo parlour and so on.

The movie is called "The Creeping Terror" where this monster goes around and eats up people having fun. It went to one picnic to eat up a lot of people listning to a folk guitarist, then it went to a dance hall where people were doing The Twist, ate them too and then to a place where young people park their cars and make out. The local sherriff called in the Army, the monster ate most of the Army men too. Ir's like "it coming for us at 2 MPH, what do we do?" The movie must have been made like in 1962 or something. One teen at the make out place tried to escape in his car but it wouldn't start. It's amazing how cars won't start at such times. B-)

We used to have 'hosted' horror movies, but they did away with those a long time ago (in the San Francisco area). They'd always be on a non-network channel. I haven't seen anything like that in a long time. I LOVE that kind of stuff. Halloween in my favorite time of year and I love watching scary movies around that time, cause the local networks start hosting the horror movies.
