I am turning laptop back on to try this, turned off due to other error that said try restarting computer....

Anyway, another annoying thing is McAfee can not be fully uninstalled, since it also has AVG on the compuer and they fight with each other and a message comes up everytime I boot the computer that some components of Active Shiled are either missing or might not have been installed properly. well, duh, they were supposed to be removed, but it wont let me do that. Is there a work around for this?

You can find out how to uninstall McAfee. You have to manually remove the remaining files. Start with step 10. That will show you how to remove them.

McAfee can not be fully uninstalled

the cleanest way to resolve:

Download & install a free copy of Easy Cleanerlaunch it > startup tab >uncheck McAfee references
