Wow. A triple post. *sigh* I want my own computer...:o|
OK. That's it. I'll try not to be back until Thursday...This is getting scary...
No need to panic!
Thanks Ben. Great Phoe toe!
""I could hear her heartbeat where she stood, smell her skin and her perfume.
Almost taste the life in her veins..
My outraged bellow sent her running to her vehicle, the pock pock of her high heels coming more as a stacatto series of machine gun like clacks. ""
Just D A N G !
Bob, do we gots us another writer or what?
I can if I want.
"Bob, do we gots us another writer or what?"
No, I'm merely a babbler.
: )
Of course you can. Feel free. It isn't quite a new week unless someone starts a panic over something or another...
Is this Monday? The day is swiftly going downhill...
You missed out on a perfectly ignorable Monday. Best to just forget the whole Monday thing and get on with enjoying your Tuesday... ;-)
Ah. I see. Then I think I'm actually having two Mondays this week. Of course, tomorrow, I leave for home, but that just means I'll from Monday to Wednesday immediately and skip Tuesday altogether.
I think.

It also means won't ahve to put up with this sensitive laptop any more...:o|
Updates:
shaping the leading edge into a "bullet" radius:
step#1 - guidelines for first planing: step#2 - guidelines for second planing:
Step#3 - smoothing planed angles into a filed radius:
detail of finished radius:
pic of guard blank (1/4" hotrolled steel, cut with plasma cutter) and sheet brass for miscellaneous furniture:
The guard blank is VERY heavy.
I shall cut out the oval for the hilt after I finish the bokken.
I shall have to pierce it and remove a fair amount of meat with files, in order to approximate the original's weight.
However, that shall wait until I shape the spine.
I shall be making a template for that, as it is to come to a clean and centered edge.
The leading edge is a simple eyeball-radius, and thus needed no such guide.
Fabricating the guide will be this evening's project.
Lookin' good. I'll be interested to see how the balance turns out. Where the heck did you get that tsuba blank from? The thing looks like it's almost a 1/4" thick!
This whole family is awesomely talented, and undeservedly shy.
I'd like to see Darks complete an illustrated book which pulls together some of his less disconnected thoughts. He has the ability, but he just needs a little more follow-through.
My challenge, to Darks and 'Chylde, would be for them to outline an adventure yarn, populated with various of their intriguing characters, and then put their heads together to put flesh on those resurrected bones.
As a possible plot element, I would suggest perhaps that their protagonists could be determined to foil a centuries-long plot which has been evolving for a long time, and is now approaching fruition.
Centuries old plot...
Hmm.
it is exactly 1/4" thick :)
I got it cut at a place called Georgia Pipe and Metal Fabricators, Inc. in Valdosta.
It cost $40.00 - it should have cost $45 (the minimum charge is for one hour of work) but I had only twenties and the guy felt bad about charging me that much for a quick zip with an industrial plasma cutter.
This is it for me. I'm outta here for another walking tour, and then I head home tomorrow. Look for me on Thursday...
