"nice post, however, americans have not lost their ability to discern, they are just too lazy to get off their butts....."

Disagree. Inertia caused by the stress of simply running in place and fatalism.

Problem is there are no leaders. If someone or some group could break the iron grip of the media and the electoral process which involves massive amounts of campaign money, maybe a leader could wake the middle.

The existing third parties run in the Presidential mostly which is limiting. Plus, their messages are a confused hash of special interests and silly platforms. Have to start at the bottom in local races.

Organization, a resounding message, strategy, and money could turn things around, but I don't see that happening. Besides, I don't know anyone who doesn't have a few skeletons rattling around that would be splashed all over by the bought-and-paid-for press before the message could get out.

The democrats and republicans have a vested interest in making sure no one else is heard. ~And they have all the power.

I just wish the voting democrats would wake up and stop defending the indefensible.

i don't necessarily disagree, but isn't 'waiting for the other guy to step up' a form of laziness??
