And why am I not surprised the people who wrote this article didn't find this out?
I didn't say he is not the one responsible. I believe he will do anything to dump the heat onto the DPD. He won't accept responsibility. His career is over if he ever does. Every defendent in Durham county will demand he recuse himself from their case if he allows himself to be the fall guy.
I am not saying he will eventually get away with this. Just that I believe he will try.
I have found what looks to be the training manual for the SANE program in its entirety......it includes the exam forms used to comprise the "report".....this is a 299 page pdf file, and the forms begin on pg 203...I saw Minnesota and Tenessee on some of them, and one can speculate as to whether the forms in this case are identical except that they are letterheaded with Duke University Medical Center.....nonetheless this document allows a better understanding of the entire "SANE" matter in this case.

This story about this "driver" sounds a lot like a trick which may have been paid for by providing a ride.
Why did she never call him again until early morning? And why wasn't he surprised when he didn't hear from her? And why did her family not matter to him?

He also initimated that he didn't know anything was wrong with her. Then with every time the Father told the story she got worse. Until she was lame and looked like Joe Frazier and was facing a long recovery from a broom attack.
Good Catch Maggief! I think we can assume that the phone callS (plural) were not from her father that Brian Taylor mentioned - because he said that if she didn't arrive soon it would be cancelled. So, unless the father was her pimp, calls to from him were not the calls Brian Taylor is mentioning.
And in-training in North Carolina just means she didn't finish her 40 hour course.
In N.C., SANE specilization and training is only a 40 hour course (1 week). That's not a whole hell of a lot of training.
The AV drove to her fathers house within a hour or two of being released from the hospital. SHE drove there, left her car there and walked over and got into her boyfriends car and left with him and didn't return that day according to the Father. So at first her Dad has her walking and driving and going out for the day with the boyfriend.
Later, when Dad becomes a celebrity, her leg is out of joint, her face looked like a boxer that had been beat up, and she was very scared and traumatized. And she needed 3 weeks to a month to heal from the broomstick attack.
Wonder why that didn't make it into the paper?

The Headline in the North Carolina News & Observer is "Rape Case lineup facts are sought"
Not, The accuser did not pick out the same men in a previous lineup. Or secret lineup revealed; indicted man not ID'd.
The news from that article was that the woman was not consistent in her previous ID and David Evans was not pick, yet still indicted!
OK. I was thinking more of the details that OUGHT to be in the "report", as revealed by the blank forms in the SANE materialsI linked......if defense was given only 5 od 17 sections of such a document, MUCH has either been obscured or not sone at all wrt SANE exam.....one thing that interested me is the number and type of specimens taken, as represented throughout these forms.....as well as the main clearance for the exam which the accuser agrees to specimens as part pf the clearance.....here's the link again, start on page 203 if this interests you...

Well I downloaded you link and looked at it some. What I saw was as I expected heavily biased towards finding evidence of assault rather than acting as an examiner to find out if their is evidence of sexual assault.
What parts of it did you find interesting or germane?
