Tommz my dear friend,

What you suggest-- a phone call from the Duke administration to the Durham administration demanding that the prosecution be dropped is a very good idea, indeed.

It is, however, completely contrary to the real world interests of the Duke administration.

In fact, the Duke administration is going to punish these kides, innocent of rape or not. The two underclass accused will never get a degree from Duke. They will never be allowed to transfer to another reputable school. I would even guess that none of the members of the lacrosse team will ever compete again for Duke of anybody else.

In fact, the Duke administration is going to insist on prosecution long after everyone else in the state of North Carolina knows these guys didn't do it.

In fact, the Duke administration will scream like banshees at the injustice to black females, if there is no prosecution.

In fact, the Duke faculty would try to fire their administrators if they didn't do exactly as I have described here.

In fact, the Duke administrators have been waiting their entire professional lives for an opportunity like this to demonstrate their PC bona fides. They are delighted to be on the side of prosecuting these boys. They will be furious if the boys prove to be innocent.

Just telling you what I'd do if I were in charge of Duck University. Duck figured prominently in Dnesh D'Souza's list of formerly serious schools which had degenerated into PC factories, and they now seem to be enmeshed in the evil fruits of the ****. You'd figure that at some point the error of their ways would dawn on them...
