That is really funny, because of all the dogs I have had the privelage to hand feed, pit bulls have been the most gentle when taking food. My lab would put her entire mouth over your hand and whatever ended up in there would get chewed. I imagine if you did put steak in your pants and were around normal pit bulls, it might be a much more pleasant experience than you can imagine. Not to be gross or anything.

My female pit will lightly bite the food offerred with her front teeth. She will not take it until you let go.....I did not teach her this. She did it in front of about 6 mothers at a garage sale once. A 2 year old tried to feed her a potato chip, but then decided he wanted to eat it....he did not let go ...so she released her end & walked away. The moms were very impressed & then "shocked" to find out my dog was a "vicious" pitbull.

In England, they were known as the nursemaid dog.....
