Needs some freeping... go to left side of page and hit NO on purchasing their new cd. They have it over on DU and DU is pulling for them. I can assure you Lubbock does not want their songs played.

The only poll that matters is the bottom line when it comes to sales. The Dixie Chicks blew their base off, and the anti-war crowd ain't gonna take their place.

I can promise you DU is at work. It was like 85% saying no this morning and now they have caught up, it is not the people who live here....... we can't stand her.
"Shut up and sing" was never better advice.
Why on Earth should a performer inject his or her opinions into the mix and risk turning off a huge portion of their audience?
They have every right to sound off, for sure.
And the public has every right to respond by dumping them.

They are a real bunch of bums.
The dixie chicks are having their chickens come home to roost. They are rationalizing it by saying that the country music crowd doesnt allow them to have sufficient artistic expression. But unless they can pull some pop music out of their backsides they are going to be toast.
They might come back if they change their names and their attitudes.
I would love for the DU to get them to play these songs and then have their switchboards flooded with complaints. Thats the real stuff.
