Lawyers representing one of three Duke University lacrosse players charged with rape want details about any toxicology tests performed on the accuser, asking in a motion filed Monday whether such evidence even exists.
"No such toxicology report, if it exists, was provided to the defense," wrote attorneys Kirk Osborn and Ernest Conner, referring to nearly 1,300 pages of evidence prosecutors provided to defense attorneys last week. The attorneys represent Reade Seligmann, one of three lacrosse players charged with raping a woman hired to perform as a stripper at a March 13 team party.
Seligmann's attorneys want a judge to order prosecutors to provide any reports "generated from blood, urine or other biological samples" collected from the accuser. In the motion, they cited a story published in Newsweek earlier this month that said District Attorney Mike Nifong "hinted" such tests would reveal the presence of a date-rape drug.
Authorities have said a doctor and specially trained nurse performed a physical exam on the accuser that found evidence of sexual assault. But the nurse who filled out a report on that exam indicted no toxicology tests were performed, according to the defense motion.
Nifong declined to comment.

I was thinking that Kim was refering to the AV's initial claim that Kim was in the bathroom with her when the "rape" was supposed to have taken place.

Police Chief Steve Chalmers said in a news conference Monday that gunmen came to 2222 Alpine Road to rob and kill those inside. There was no sign of forced entry, indicating that at least one of the victims might have known the killers.
The Breckenridge development is off Hope Valley Road, not far from some of Durham's most pricey homes. A check of a police database showed no violent crimes in the area over the past two years.
"This was not a random crime, but one that was specifically targeted to these individuals," Chalmers said. "These individuals did not come into that community for any other reason than to rob and murder the individuals they came in contact with."

Lennis Harris Jr., identified by police as one of those living at the townhouse, was the son of Lennis Harris Sr., a Durham fire marshal who lives in Wake Forest. His mother, Marsha Harris, lives in Durham's Parkwood neighborhood. She declined to speak with reporters.
Lennis Harris Jr. and Jon Skinner were first cousins said to have been friends since childhood. Skinner grew up in Winston-Salem before moving to northern Raleigh with his parents, Linwood and Claudia Skinner. Reached at their home, the couple said they were not ready to talk publicly but were emphatic that their son, who lived with them, could not have been a drug dealer. Claudia Skinner is a teacher in the Durham Public Schools.

I thought the most ridiculous thing Ted Williams said tonight is something to the effect that he "said it all along," ..... that the lax players were innocent. For over two months, he NEVER said that once. He always pointed to their guilt!

We all know Jesse Jackson has disappeared some time ago (and I guarantee you the AV's 'scholarship' will never materialize.) And forget about the New Black Panthers and their concern for their sister the 'queen.' (major eye roll).
It would be nice if Nancy Grace and some of her screeching cronies, along with these Duke academics who were shooting off their mouths and slandering their own students, could be standup people for once in their lives and come forward to admit they were wrong.

I'm not sure Nifong actually said that. The Wilmington Star seems to be reporting on the hearing, and I would think such a statement would have set off a firesorm here.
Needless to say, Nifong is most certainly NOT interested in the contents being made available.
