Just heard a report that Barbaro is scratching his ear with his injured leg. In nurse-speak, we call that "able to perform activities of daily living." Great news.

Thanks for all of your great posts on this topic. I attended the Derby again this year. Have been following the story very closely.

Excellent news! (I had also heard that he was able to scratch with his uninjured leg, thus putting full weight on the bad one . . . ) either one is great!
