I have not read the book or seen the movie, but I'm very familiar with the plot line. I'll cut to the chase. DNA evidence negates the entire premise.

Now for the issue of Jesus and what he might think about this film or book. I think Jesus would always welcome an opportunity to have people look at Him, think about His time on earth, and discuss what it all meant.

This film is a woodpecker on the face of Mt. Rushmore. It will do no harm to Jesus or his legacy no matter what it does. IMHO.

I'm thinking the concern of the original poster may also be for the many lost souls that will devour this entertainment as more than simple fiction. We as Christians know that not every soul will be saved but the desire to save every soul is there nonetheless and a movie like this only throws confusion into the mixture of an already boiling soup.
