Good news. I didn't see the race as have no t.v. does anybody know where there are still shots of the accident? (Does this make me a ghoul?)
Apparently the surgery is nearing completion, but they are not saying anything more than that. This is an update for 30 minutes ago. He may be out by now.

And on the right hand side there are video links that may show the race and the injury. It was truly painful to watch him trying to run on three legs, and occasionally being forced to step on a leg that was breaking.
