Since we live in an area overrun by illegals, I have noticed more and more commercials on here in Spanish. And these are the regular channels, not the Mexican channels.

Same here. I can't go anywhere without being assaulted by Spanish. When Jack in the Box started airing Spanish commericals last year, I boycotted them. McDonald's jumped on the Mexican bandwagon about that time by putting up Spanish menus IN FRONT of the English ones, but they soon got the word and took them down.

But now the only two grocery stores within an hour of us have everything in Spanish too. What to do??? Last weekend at Walmart, even the canned goods were in Spanish. Good thing they have pictures on them. I'm talking the regular foods and cleaning supplies (Hoover carpet cleaner is now on my boycott list for being in Spanish), not those in the "specialty" aisles. I was checking out the recipe cards in the produce section and they too were in Spanish. How the heck am I supposed to try a new veggie without being able to read the freakin' recipe cards??? I was so mad, I grabbed my red pen and wrote "ENGLISH!" on a bunch of them and told the manager off. When I got to the check out, the couple in front of me were complaining the credit card machine was also in Spanish!!!

Then, yesterday I was filling up with gas at the HEB (our other grocery) and glanced up at the weekly grocery sales sign above the pump. It was in !@#^$#^# Spanish, too!
