I'm old enough to remember Carlin Black Lablel.. You know the beer I miss the most?

Strohs.

I'm from Detroit and they brewed it there, so it was fresh. I've been drink the tall bottle Budweiser for the last 5 years for that reason. It's fresh. I went through the whole snobbery thing with beer in my 20s and 30s.. Until I utterly failed a blind test between my 5 favorite beers and Budweiser.

So I'm back to my roots. My first beer at 17. Bud. (and I won't drink any Light beer)

Samuel Adams was good before they changed ownership..

Anyone remember this...?

I think that I shall never hear
A poem as lovely as a beer
The brew that Joe's bar has on tap
With golden base and snowy cap
The foamy stuff I drink all day
Until my memory melts away
Poems are writ by fools I fear
But only Schlitz
can make a beer.

Fond memories of Mad Magazine back in the '60s. :)
