I've never seen Buckhorn. How foul was it?

Does anyone remember the supermarket "plain wrap" brands? That was *really* bad. Ballantine, Falstaff, St. Ides, Pacifico (Mexican Coors). These were added by my bf. Stroh's wasn't too bad, but it disappeared off the shelves several years ago.

What shocks me is the price they charge for Bud, Coors, and Miller. None of those beers rate what is charged. If it's on sale, I like Mickey's or Rolling Rock. RR chilled to to point of starting to ice up, on a blazing hot summer day :-D

Buckhorn was the cheapest available when I was younger. I think we drank it until our taste buds were numb and then it didn't matter.

I tend to agree about the pricing of some of the beers you mention. Nothing special about them.
