Every mom out there has tripped at some point or another. Heck, my husband was sitting in a deck chair at a block party when one of the back legs gave out. Hubby whacked his head on a nearby table, but he never let go of our son - kept him plastered to his chest the whole time, his big hands wrapped around A.'s little body and head.
I tripped on a toy in my daughter's room when she was just a few months old. Performed this wild contortion to prevent from landing on her. She was unhurt; me, I threw my knee out.
At 8 months, kids get wiggly. My son is 6 months old now, and 18 lbs. I have long since passed the days of carrying him in one arm. But for a new Mom, stuff like this is a surprise!
Give Brittany a pass on this, folks!
Let's say she wants to get rid of her useless husband sooner than later. She should be careful to look as if she's a competent parent so that he can't use anything against her in a custody battle. It could mean big bucks for him in a settlement.
