Yes, it does make us laugh afterwards when all goes well. I think the laughing comes from the release valve on our stress-o-meter.

Yeah, but sometimes I think dogs and cats like to do things like that to us then run off into the corner to snicker at us.

I would let my daughter play in her crib for a bit after she'd wake up from a nap. One day as I was walking down the hall a hellacious smell greeted me. She had taken her diaper off and played in her poop. I learned a fast lesson on that one.

All the more reason to threaten to shoot 'em. teehee (seriously though, I LOVE my dogs and cat) :)

I was on the phone talking to my dad, who was asking me to come home (he was dying of prostate cancer) from Hawaii to CA to help take care of him...so I wasn't really paying attention as my 2 year old son climbed up on a kitchen chair, then took a tumble, face/belly first, onto the floor. BOOOM! Screams! Curses from me. I dropped the phone and ran next door with my son, to our neighbor's apartment. The man next door was a corpsman, just like my husband, so I knew he could make sure my son was okay. I banged on their door and yelled his name. He opened the door to see what was wrong, and in the middle of my crying and raving, I looked down, saw he was in his boxers, and calmly commented..."nice boxers, Dave". ;o)
My son was okay..only now he suffers from teeanageitis. I am the one who is damaged.

Yes, I do. Dead as a doornail. If one of my favorite characters, (whatsisname), can't come back from being knocked off, neither can (mumblemumble). It wouldn't be fair, and I would have to call the author a Name. I agree that dead is Dead and the final doorstop and all that. The question isn't if (mumblemumble) will come back from the dead. The question is is (mumblemumble) dead at all. Is such sleight of hand and deception possible given the population?

Oh, for heaven's sake. I'm no fan of Britney, but tripping isn't abuse. They don't seem to be suggesting she was drunk or drugged. They also had to make the point that she was crying. Well, heck, isn't she pregnant again? What an emotional roller coaster. And frankly, when you are pregnant you are more likely to trip, fall etc. It comes with the territory.
I'm not a fan of this girl but the media coverage is bizarre. I think they are mad she didn't abort the kids.

I'm so sorry about your father, but the rest of your story had me laughing. :)

I meant "coming back from the dead" in a literary sense, being presented as Dead but not being dead, just to flummox the reader. On the other hand, there's (thatotherguy) who was, like, dead, and now is, sorta, Undead.

My daughter did the same thing to my wife. She walked in to check on her and there she was "painting" the bed sheet and having nice caca snack. LOL!
Serves my wife right though since her parents can't go a month without telling the story about when she did the same thing.

I would never carry such a young baby without using both hands. One hand around their body and one to support their head. Those floppy little heads need support until they're well over one year.Have you ever actually met a baby? And if you have got kids, how did you cook, talk on the phone, pay the bills, dress another kid, go to the bathroom, or do anything else for that matter if you were using two hands at all times to hold your kid until he/she was a year old?

Thanks! I'll stop by that one again. I didn't think wandering from the subject on a Britney Spears thread would be much of a problem :-).

Well, just because she has the attention span of a wandering flea doesn't mean that we have to . . .
Oh, look, cardinals. Pretty.
