If the nurse or doctor examining her noticed tracks and noted the observation in the report, it would go to the defense during discovery, yes. If she uses a needle regularly, there're probably noted observations about the puncture/track marks in her regular medical files and would certainly be information about drug use and observations relating to it in the medical records surrounding her hospitalization for mental health problems last year.
