It was said on Abrams today that part of the SANE exam would have included blood drawn from the victim for testing. However, the forensic expert on the show said that you couldn't test for a date-rape drug with the blood drawn, that it would have to be tested by a urine sample. I'm not a forensics expert so I'm only repeating what I thought I heard.

Technically the blood would have been drawn for DNA testing. If there were any evidence of drugs in the blood, it is no longer detectible. Too much time has passed.
