The first quotes out of the father indicated that when he saw her the next morning she dropped off her car saying she wasn't going to drive it for a while and that she seemed fine. That's probably the only truthful interview he's given.

I'm really worried about the admissibility of the photos. I was briefly an expert witness some years ago and it was repeatedly emphasized to me that I should dig out my old film camera and use that because that would produce original documents, i.e. photographic film.

The only saving feature of the cell phone photos may be that some service providers don't permit you to hook your phone up to your computer but force you to sent it "over the air" through them. If the service provider can somehow retrieve the photos in a way that they can prove that the photos did not pass through lax team hands then the photos have a far higher admissibility.
