My contention is that if one is brutally gang-raped, kicked, beaten and strangled - CANCELLING your cell phone service is not a priority when you're still recovering from physical injuries.

While I have never been gang raped, I have been physically abused and you are not thinking about details like phones. Of course mine had nothing to do with a pimp who could cause you even more harm.

Right. It does not fit with the victim mentality.

SissyJane is probably right. The escort service may have gave her that phone or took it out of her first job.

Remember not everyone has the credit to get a cell-phone and some people don't want to be able to be tracked or traced to their own name or with GPS: location.
