I remember when the cartoon Mulan came out. Then local (Seattle) talk show host and film critic Michael Medved trashed it for promoting homosexuality (some of the male cartoon characters disguise themselves as women to sneak into the bad guy's palace).

We took our youngest to see it and both enjoyed the movie ourselves. Since then we've learned that there are very few film critics that have a clue to what we enjoy...and the Michael Medved needed to get a grip...it was just a cartoon.

Medved's cheese slipped off his cracker long ago. I gave up reading Hollywood vs America when I got to the part where he attributed the failure of Star Trek V to its supposed "secular humanist message" (rather than to the fact that William Shatner couldn't direct a one-man parade down a one-way street).
